Russian Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev, despite being a day late, finally arrived in Mordovia. The minister’s visit to the Republic was postponed from Tuesday to Wednesday. In the settlement of Torbeevo, Tkachev, together with the Head of the Republic Vladimir Volkov, inaugurated a new division of the Atyashevo meat-processing complex. At the opening ceremony, Tkachev emphasized that the enterprise is on par with leading foreign manufacturers in terms of technology and equipment. “The facility will allow the production of 125,000 tons of finished meat products per year — and that is an additional 1% contributed to the national effort of replacing imported meat products,” he stated.
